Home Learning in the event of self-isolation for Covid
If you have to isolate because of a positive Covid test or a case of Coronavirus in your family, here are links for lessons on the Oak National Academy website. These links will take you directly to the daily lesson schedule for your child's year group. There you will find lessons for English and Maths, alongside a variety of lessons for the other subjects, generally two lessons per day.
Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 children can still access materials on our sister website for RWI. You can also find the Maths Passports here www.wylyevalley.wilts.sch.uk
There are also some additional materials below.
Reception Lessons - Oak National Academy (thenational.academy)
Year 1 Lessons - Oak National Academy (thenational.academy)
Year 2 Lessons - Oak National Academy (thenational.academy)
Year 3 Lessons - Oak National Academy (thenational.academy)

Newton Class Home Learning - beginning Wednesday 21st April 2021
National Lockdown from Tuesday 5th January 2021
We will be aiming to provide the best possible remote learning whilst children are at home. As there are a number of key worker children in school, teachers will not be able to provide live learning, however, the tasks set each day will be linked to the National Curriculum for each year group, and will be the same work that is completed by the children at school.
To access the work for your child, scroll down to the correct date and click on your child's class. This will then detail the work set for that day. Even though there may be additional work for the coming days available, please only get your child to work on the correct day's tasks.
The Government expectation is that each primary child has enough work for approximately three hours per day. In addition to the tasks set, please encourage your child to read and also exercise daily.
In order to help with well-being and for your child to feel connected to the school community, please communicate as much as possible with the teachers. The teachers would really like to see the work that you produce at home, to see how well you are progressing. They do enjoy hearing from you and keeping in touch.
Please be aware that Mr Howarth and Mrs Baker will be in school each day with the key worker children and so may not be able to answer your emails during the day when teaching.
You may be having problems accessing some of the RWI eBooks for your child. After a bit of investigating, it seems that Oxford Owl has changed access for these documents.
So that you can still have access to some books to read, some extra documents have been added to our RWI website. There is a Word document with links to some eBooks for each RWI group. There are also some PDF documents that you can use. The PDF documents include activities and the pages of the book. The new documents are also below.
You should still be able to open the speed sound documents and other resources in the ATT files.
Have an enjoyable half term.
School and remote learning will resume on Monday 22nd February.
