Our learning this week in English is all about Deadly Creatures from around the world (whilst sitting in the comfort of your own home!) By the end of the week, not only will you know lots about some deadly creatures, you will have also created your own!
Read the following extract from ‘Deadly Factbook: Mammals’ by Steve Backshall:
(You will need to register with LoveReading4Kids if you haven't already done so - it's free.)
Write three sentences to describe each of the five animals you have read about.
Try to include some of the descriptive words used in the text, such as ‘sublime sense of smell’ (used to describe the polar bear).
Choose your favourite animal that you have read about today and create a fact file about it.
For Maths, these are the Power Maths tasks for Years 5 and 6. If you should find the task too tricky, perhaps have a look at the work for the year below to practise your skills and knowledge.
