Watch 'The Highway Rat' animation film again for a final time if required:
or go back to the story being read aloud.
Choose your favourite character in the story, from whom the Highway Rat steals food. Pretend you are that character.
Discuss how you are feeling and what you might be thinking.
Talk about what the police might ask you if you were to be interviewed.
Write some questions in role as a Police Officer to your chosen character.
Remember to include a question mark, e.g.
Who did you see? What did he look like? What did he ask for? What did he take?
When you have written your questions, pretend you are your favourite character and answer the questions. Practise saying them first, then write down your answers. Check for capital letters and full stops.
