We had a visit from Megan Fear, the Community Champion at Morrisons in Warminster. They kindly donated sunflower seeds to the school and she came and helped to plant the seeds with the children

Wiltshire Air Ambulance visited Wylye Valley School in October. Simon held workshops with the class bubbles. We also raised money for them by creating a chain of coins in the shape of a helicopter! Wiltshire Air Ambulance is our Red Kites House charity.

Headteachers Awards-December 2019
Mrs Thornton and Mrs Carpenter and girls from the 1st Codford Brownies attended the Remembrance Day Service and parade in Warminster to honour the service and sacrifice of our Armed Forces.
Wiltshire Air Ambulance Service
Simon from the Wiltshire Air Ambulance Service spent a day in school. He did workshops with KS2 looking at the basics of CPR and activities with KS1 during the afternoon. Wiltshire Air Ambulance are one of our school house charities.

World Book Day
Tree Planting-The Eco Group, with the help of Tom and Helen, planted 5 Elm trees in the grounds of the school. It is part of a project which aims to secure the return of a very rare butterfly-the White Letter Hairstreak.

30 Dads and 93 children shared a Father's Day lunch today cooked by Mrs Ford. Even Mr Barnes sat with his daughter and enjoyed an All Day Breakfast! Thank you to all the Dads for coming and supporting the event.

After winning the Environmental Youth Award for Wiltshire , we welcomed 4 judges today to see if we are worthy of winning the whole award for the South West if England . As we are already winners , we have been invited to the Royal Bath and West Show to collect our cheque and trophy. Well done to our wonderful ECO group and Mrs Baker.
