Read/Listen up to p9 of The Enormous Crocodile (up until ‘… I’ve eaten at least three juicy little children!’):
The Enormous Crocodile by Roald Dahl - YouTube
Discuss what has happened in the story so far. Make a list of the characters which the crocodile has met along the way, what they are doing and eating. Create a fact file, e.g.
Character 1 Name: What are they doing? What are they eating?
Character 2 Name: What are they doing? What are they eating?
Character 3 Name: What are they doing? What are they eating?
Return to the film/story to find these details. Be creative when you make your fact file.
Task 2 (for today and tomorrow)
Here are a couple more crocodile stories that you can listen to:
The Selfish Crocodile - YouTube
The Crocodile Who Didn't Like Water - Give Us A Story! - YouTube
Have a go at writing your own 'Crocodile' story that KS1 children would like to listen to. You could even make it into a book and illustrate it or you could make your story into a comic strip.
Plan your story today, ready for writing and illustrating tomorrow.
